We stopped here for lunch on the motorcylces. We all sat at the bar and ordered lunch ... but we had to get by the cutest little bulldog (?) puppy first! She was a hit with all of the patrons! The place was very clean and I believe it was the owner or a manager walking around making sure everyone had what they needed ... she was really friendly. We ordered the Cheesy Short Rib Fries to start and they were so yummy! I had the Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos and my husband had the Steak Tacos for our main meal. Everything was delicious!!! The drinks were poured perfectly and the bartender was on point! No complaints about this stop ... hoping to get back there if we ever ride through NJ in the future!
Went there today (Sunday) for lunch with my family of 6 sat outside by the lake . The food was excellent and the atmosphere was great . Live music was a great addition to a most enjoyable afternoon.
Love. Me and husband’s first time here today, great find. Love the atmosphere private patio area overlooking the lake and especially dog friendly. The food was so good the southwest chicken egg rolls, ming wing pizza, and the mountain salad with grilled shrimp. We will be back again.
What a wonderful place, I went hiking in a waterfall nearby, and on the way there, seen this place. I highly recommend it for a lunch or dinner, service is fast and kind ppl are working there, food is very well prepared, fresh and delicious, there is a full bar in another section, I don’t drink, but the place looks top notch!
I would call this a great "go to" for consistency. You always know what you'll get...friendly service, good pub style food with some upscale fare, great value for the price. The Bang Bang Shrimp Tacos are the absolute best! Plus, the majority of the music acts (solo) are great entertainment on the weekends.
On 2 May 2024 I decided to stop by at the Mountain House. I walked in and it is an amazing interior. It’s a bit of rustic, a little bit of industrial and very aesthetically pleasing. as I was meeting a friend there I obviously got there way too early so I sat at the bar and enjoyed a nice beer with some amazing fried pickles. Anybody that knows me knows my weakness is fried pickles and I have to say these are some of the best I’ve had in my almost 60 years. They were crispy and crunchy was spicy and I wish I would’ve gotten a couple more orders. When my friend arrived, we went out and sat by the lake. We both ordered the New York strip steak, which was cooked exactly the way we wanted it and came with a sauce and some onions and mushrooms on top. Unfortunately, I did not get any pictures of the mistake because as soon as it was put in front of me, I just dug in and started eating. It wasn’t until I was almost done that I said dang it. I should’ve taken a picture. The steak came with vegetables and potatoes. I’m going back to the mountain house to try the fish tacos and the tzatziki bowl. Those caught my eye, but I didn’t have enough room in my belly. And you can see from the picture I attached. It is a great view, and it was very peaceful and relaxing.
This place is an absolute diamond in the rough. Service is good, but the food is absolutely phenomenal! I didn’t think I could find food this good anywhere outside of a big city. Great job guys keep up the good work!
Our foursome loved the food, generous portions, service was great. Our waitress checked on us to be sure our needs were met, she was courteous. Very pleasant evening. There was a singer in the bar area who was good too.
